About us
Launched in 2004, Cinema Business is recognised as the definitive source of news and intelligence on the UK cinema sector. After six years as a news magazine, 2009 has seen Cinema Business make the transition to being an online service, produced on a not-for-profit basis.
This website has been developed with the support of the UK Film Council through the Publications Fund.
The team
Cinema Business is produced by a team of experienced journalists and expert contributors, including:
Mark Moran
Mark launched Cinema Business in 2004 after a career in b2b magazine publishing and conferences. Besides providing a new perspective on the business side of mainstream cinema, Mark has championed the growth of the UK film festival sector, the spread of screenings and events in alternative venues and the importance of film society screenings.
Mark is looking forward to seeing 2012 — Roland Emmerich's latest bid to destroy the planet!

His client list covers independent cinema operators, local authorities and various commercial and non-commercial organisations who need information and guidance on practical aspects of the cinema business.
